
Erin Gottwald first performed with Karen Murphy-Fitch in 2000. A native of the Boston area, she is thrilled to be coming back to Cambridge in the fall to perform with Falling Flight Project and with Turnpike Dance. She lives in Brooklyn, NY where she teaches dance at Spoke the Hub Dancing, is a company member of Digby Dance, and performs with Summer Brown Dances. As the Special Projects Coordinator at Spoke the Hub, Erin curates an Annual 'Out-of-Towners' concert featuring choreography and performances of her favorite small dance companies. Erin's formative training was as a student (for 11 years) at the Boston Ballet School and with modern dance choreographer Holly Fairbank. She is a graduate of Bates College and has a BA Hons Certificate from the London Contemporary Dance School. From 1999-2002, Erin was based in Boston where she was a company member of Prometheus Dance, Nicola Hawkins Dance Company, Weber Dance, and EgoArt and performed with Caitlin Corbett Dance Company. She has also lived in Berkeley, California where she danced with Randee Paufve, Heidi Schweiker and Dandelion Dance Theatre. Erin has performed at various venues – her favorites being The Phantom Theatre in Warren, Vermont, St. Mark's Church in New York City, The Cowell Theatre in San Francisco, California and The Place Theatre in London, England.
